Battlefield 3: FreddieW TV Commercial
Now check out this TV commercial, made in just 10 days. Meant to promote the “Only in Battlefield 3” competition by EA and DICE, I personally think it’s pretty impressive what these guys have managed to cook together in such a short time frame. Here’s what they have to say about it:
EA asked us to create a TV commercial for Battlefield 3 so we teamed up with Sam and Niko from http://youtube.com/corridordigital and made a commercial in 10 days! We finally got to do practical explosions and even got a real tank!
For the concept, we took the skid-steer loader from the Back to Karkand expansion pack and made it deadly, utilizing online battle tactics that many of you should know and love.
Battlefield 3: Caspian Border Antenna Tower Falling
After the recent patch, the antenna on Caspian Border will now fall and kill anyone “riding” it or standing underneath it when the losing team reaches only a few tickets left (approximately 15 tickets or so).
If we could only shoot it down ourselves…
Oh well, maybe next patch? 😉

So, what’s this new Intel X79 you speak of?
Last week was the official launch of the Intel X79 platform from Intel, featuring the new LGA-2011 CPU socket. This is the new “enthusiast” platform taking over for LGA-1366.
If you want to learn more about the new Intel X79 platform, Sandy Bridge-E and LGA-2011 socket from Intel, and maybe learn a bit about overclocking with this new hardware, check out this webinar posted by Corsair (of course biased towards Corsair’s own products, but I’m not at all ashamed to say I’m a fan of their products):
